Where do I find Tungsten in Necesse?

It’s in the Deep Underground. You need the Deep Cave Ladder from the Pirate Captain — drop that thing first.

Place the Deep Cave Ladder and Head Down

Place the Deep Cave Ladder on the surface anywhere — except desert — and it opens a shaft straight into the Deep Underground.

Does it matter where I place it?

Anywhere works as long as it’s not desert. Forest is the easiest starting point.

Where to Find Tungsten Ore

You need a Quartz Pickaxe or better to mine Tungsten Ore.

Tungsten Ore spawns in the Deep Underground of all biomes except desert — Forest, Snow, Deciduous Forest, and Swamp. Start with the Forest Deep Underground.

How do I tell Tungsten apart from normal rock? It all looks the same to me.

Look for rocks with dark blue cracks running through them. Once you know it, you’ll spot it from across the cave. One hit usually yields 2–3 ore.

Skeleton Miners Also Drop It

Abandoned Mineshafts in the Forest Deep Underground spawn Skeleton Miners. They’re a guaranteed drop of 2–6 Tungsten Ore and 1–4 Tungsten Bars. Kill them while you mine and you’ll fill your inventory much faster.

How to Smelt Tungsten Bars

Just feed ore into a furnace.

Crafting Priority Order

I finally have enough Tungsten Bars. What should I make first?

There’s an order to this. Tungsten Anvil first, then the Pickaxe. Without those two, nothing else unlocks.

① Tungsten Anvil (Top Priority)

Every piece of Tungsten gear and weapons requires this anvil. Without it, crafting doesn’t start.

This unlocks Obsidian mining. Obsidian is required in large quantities for Tungsten armor, so upgrading the pickaxe early is a direct shortcut to a full gear set. Budget for three Deep Underground runs before you have enough.

The Tungsten Greatbow needs Ectoplasm on top of bars, but 120 damage blows every other Tungsten weapon out of the water. If you’re running Ranged, this is your first priority.
